Are you using social media for real estate marketing?  By Laura Borja San Diego Home Loans

If the answer is NO (like 11% of your fellow Realtors) you should start now!  The numbers simply do not lie.

90% of people use the internet in their home search (both first time and repeat buyers) and of those, 75% of them either drove by or viewed the home.

You are not a listing agent?  Social media marketing is important for buyer’s agents as well since over a third of buyers find the agent during an Internet search.

Does it seem too time consuming or not sure how to get started?

There are several apps out there that can help to streamline the process of posting online. Hootsuite is one such service which also aids in tracking results.

Still too complicated?  Then pick just one social media platform and become an expert on it!

No one probably cares what you are having for breakfast, but you can use Twitter to share local info and establish yourself as the expert in your area. Have an awesome picture of the view from your newest listing? Then Pinterest is the place for you! It’s visual centric platform is the way to go with photos of interesting architecture or decor. Post your listings on Facebook and access the largest number of people.

Whatever you do, don’t be left behind.  89% of your competitors are already using social media to market their real estate business, do you really want to be part of that old school 11%
