Half the year is now behind us so I thought it would be a good time to take a look at what has happened with the San Diego Real estate market so far. So what are the hottest zip codes for San Diego Real Estate Market 2017?
We are going to look at the zip codes that have had the most activity, the ones that are selling the fastest and slowest, and also look at the most affordable and most expensive zip codes within San Diego County

Let’s start by looking at the zip codes with the most closings YTD.
Rancho Bernardo East is leading the pack with a total of 499 sales as of the end of June. Southeast Carlsbad and Rancho Bernardo West rounding out the top three spots of the hottest zip codes for San Diego Real Estate
The numbers for the hottest zip codes for San Diego Real Estate 2017 include both attached and detached properties.

Breaking down zip codes with most closings by property type
The overall leader is Downtown with 393 condos sold for the first half of 2017
Fallbrook has the most sales of Detached properties this year with 365.
Many of the zip codes are priced below the current median prices for the county which is probably why they such popular areas.
For the next market snapshots, I left out any zip code that has not had at least 10 sales YTD. I felt that gave us a more accurate picture
Which zip codes have the shortest time on market before an offer is accepted?
Another marker of the hottest zip codes for San Diego Real Estate is how quickly homes sell.
Zip codes in blue are sales of condos and townhomes. Those in Black are single family detached homes.
Attached properties in South Vista (92081) are listed for only 9 days before being sold. Detached properties in the 92108 Zip code were the only ones to break into the top 10 of this category. However, Linda Vista (92111), Mira Mesa (92126), Penasquitos (92129) and 5 other zip codes have single family homes selling in less than 20 days on average.
The list of slowest selling zip codes is made up of primarily single-family listings. Half of them are priced well over the median sales price, perhaps affecting how quickly they sell.
What zip codes in San Diego Real Estate give you the best bargain?
If you are looking for a detached property, the areas on the outskirts of San Diego County are going to give you the best value.

South San Diego also offers some good bargains with National City and San Ysidro breaking into the top 10
How about a good deal on a condo?
For a deal on a condo, you should check out South and East county along with Escondido.
Most Expensive zip codes in San Diego Real Estate
For those of you who just want to dream or who have some big bucks to spend, here are the most expensive zip codes.
I don’t many of us were surprised that detached properties in Rancho Santa Fe, La Jolla and Del Mar are at the top of the list. Same goes for the areas with the most expensive condos.
