Did you remember that property Taxes in San Diego were due April 10?

For those of us that are homeowner’s, April is a painful month- not only are our Federal and State income tax returns due, but so are property taxes.

 
If you live in San Diego County and did not pay your property taxes yesterday, sorry, but you are now a day late!
 
Property taxes in San Diego County are paid twice a year.  The First Installment is due on November 1st and considered delinquent if not paid by December 10th.  The second instalment of property taxes in San Diego County is due on Feb1st and considered delinquent if not paid by April 10th.
 
Not paying your taxes can be a hit to the pocketbook – a 10% penalty is assessed on each installment that is paid after the payment deadline.  In addition to the 10% penalty, a 1.5% fee per month is assessed umtil the full amount is paid.
 
April is a painful month for taxes, property, federal and state taxes are all due!
