First Time Home Buyer Assistance Update

The San Diego Housing Commission issued an update on the funds availability for their First Time Home Buyer Assistance programs.

Hello Participating Lender,

 

City of San Diego Deferred Loan and Closing Cost Grant Programs

Since the beginning of the fiscal year, with your help, we have assisted 84 families with the purchase their first home in the City of San Diego.  It is with regret we inform you that the Housing Commission has fully committed the funding for 80% AMI and 100% AMI borrowers and will not be accepting any additional deferred loan or closing cost grant applications for the remainder of this fiscal year.  A new allocation of funds will be available in July.

 

City of San Diego Mortgage Credit Certificates

The SDHC City of San Diego Mortgage Credit Certificate program is fully funded and we are accepting applications.

 

County of San Diego 80% AMI

Through the County of San Diego program, 41 families have received assistance to purchase their first home since the beginning of our fiscal year.  The County of San Diego down payment and closing cost deferred loan program has funding for an additional 8 families. At this time we are accepting applications for County of San Diego assistance on a reservation basis. To reserve funds the borrower must have an accepted offer.
