Just like the rest of the San Diego Housing Market, Carmel Valley (92130) continues to recover with some mixed news.
The number of closed sales declined drastically for detached homes (-30.9%) and a little less drastically for townhomes and condos (-13.8%) compared to this same time last year.
There are also fewer single family homes on the market as both pending sales & new listings also declined in August as compared to August 2013
The good news is that home prices in San Diego’s Carmel Valley continue to improve with the exception of a small hiccup in prices for Condos as compared to July 2014

Median prices for both single family homes and condos/townhomes increased in San Diego County for August 2014 as compared to last month and the same time last year.
The average days between a property listing until an offer was accepted held steady at 44 days.
Inventory continues to decrease, making it still, a seller’s market.
